Tiger Woods is continuing his recovery after undergoing treatment for a car accident in February. Having suffered a major accident that threatened his career, he says his focus right now is being able to walk on his own.
I do my routine every day and focus on my number one goal now is to walk alone. Doing it step by step.
Woods said he was no stranger to rehabilitation procedures after undergoing several back and knee surgeries. However, the most recent recovery was unlike the one he had experienced before. “It’s a completely different thing,” the 45-year-old said.
I understand the rehab process better because of my past injuries, but this is more painful than anything I’ve ever been through.
Woods was found to be driving over the speed limit in February. At that time, he lost control of his vehicle as it crossed the traffic lane before crashing into a tree on the side of the road outside Los Angeles. The accident left him in the hospital for three weeks.
The 15-time major golf tournament champion posted a photo on Instagram showing him using crutches smiling with a dog beside him.
When asked about his hopes of playing golf again, Woods said he was focused on rehab at his home in South Florida. “My physical therapy has kept me busy,” says Woods, the most successful golfer of his generation.
